Good thing about the lock in
Like everyone else, I am sitting in my house waiting for the invisible monster that is "suppose" to be knocking on everyones door to make them sick.
Well the bell hasn't rang, no one has knocked and the buzzer is silent, so I have had lots of time to contemplate what I want to do next.
At the moment I am building my online world and it is moving along. I still have my full time gig. We have been made work from home and micro managed within an inch of our lives, but we still manage to do what we need to do amidst the zoom rooms and written reports that are expected daily.
I have to admit, week three I literally crashed and burned. It was a very bad week, but I was still pushed to the limits. I remembered a quote “Rock bottom became the solid foundation on which I rebuilt my life.” (J.K. Rowling) and thought ... OK ... this is a good time to rebuild.
So I have cleared my desk, I have reset my calendar to meet the needs of my micro managers, my new clients and find some "Me Time". I have never had that before - Me Time - so at this stage I am not sure what that looks like, but I know it will involve education, a beach, long drives and losts of reading.
So here is to the invisible monster, may he go the way of the dodo, as I am ready to win!
